Skilled Construction Laborers
Proform Concrete Services is currently seeking Skilled Construction Laborers. A Skilled Construction Laborer performs tasks involving physical labor for concrete and masonry construction projects. Work scope will include but not limited to foundation preparation, concrete placement & finishing, curing & patching, assisting with anchor bolt and formwork installation and general site servicing. Must be familiar operating a variety of hand and power tools. Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces and concrete forms, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials.

JOB DUTIES:
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in concrete and masonry construction projects; perform manual work in preparing surfaces for concrete.
- Shovel concrete into construction area.
- Assist in setting forms.
- Perform tasks on the labour crew to support everyday operations.
- Provide general clean up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of work area.
- Conduct groundwork, loading and unloading materials.
- Act as a spotter for equipment operators.
- Assisting Carpenters and Concrete Finishers.
- Work collaboratively with all team members.
- Ensures that work is completed within deadlines.
- Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervision.
- Must be flexible with duties to support project requirements.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Foreman, Safety Director or HR Manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in concrete and masonry construction work.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Willing to be trained for different roles.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-3 years experience in a skilled labour role.
- Experience working with concrete.
- Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
- Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions.
- Travel will be required.
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
